Both rafts work! The original design was hard to sit on because of its height but the second design being longer

I have the presentation done. I am now working on testing the raft in water. I plan to do it this weekend. Both rafts are finished and waiting to be tested.
After testing both designs, surprisingly both of them work without me on it. I did not test if they could support my body weight because I want a partner there in case they break apart. The rafts did not break under my weight on land so I wonder how they will react in the water.
I have finished design 2. I have begun a presentation for the final product and I plan on getting pictures by week 11. I will test the designs December 7th.
I have made the cardboard cutouts and shape for the second design. I have completed design 1 and plan on testing both designs in week 10.
For the second design of the raft I want it to be smaller, less bulky than design one. Currently I cannot finish design one as I am waiting on the final jugs for the base. Design two will be like a water scooter with a proper place to sit and will be easy to carry. Design one was to test the capabilities of the water bottles, Design Two is testing the amount needed. After experimenting with the ecobrick design I have decided to make the bricks be on the edge of the raft while the normal hollow water bottles be on the interior of the design. I plan on making this raft smaller and more portable, hopefully allowing me to bring it to school. While I wait for the last pieces of the first raft I have decided to make a second raft. I plan on changing up the design a bit after I test Raft #1. I want Raft #2 to be more dense than the original concept. I've decided to experiment with filling the bottles with other plastic items making them dencer and give it better support.
I have finished tying the water bottles together and have tried out ideas for connecting the jugs to the raft. The ideas are currently in the design phase. I need to find two more jugs so I can complete the design. I hope to spend week 5 finishing the design and refining issues. I hope to test my raft at the start of week 6.
This week I was able to finish the third layer of my starter raft. I will spend the week testing how durable it is while i gather the final materials. I have two of the six large jugs. I wish to try to put it in water within the next three weeks.
